Hello! I’m back and fitter than ever, and this is all thanks to my new Super Body Workout DVD. Review: Super Body - SUPERB fitness DVD! - I have to be honest, I'd never heard of Davina. I stumbled upon this DVD somewhat by accident by following the reviews from others and I took a chance not having any idea what to expect. This DVD is, in a word, brilliant. First off - value for money is outstanding - there's absolutely stacks of quality workout material on this - and more than I've seen on any other workout DVD (and I have quite a few now). Secondly and very importantly, instruction and advice given by the crew is great and if heeded the chances for injury are minimal. Level wise, Davin's Super Body has fast become my staple over the last few months. I started out with the 10 Minute Solution: Target Tone for Beginners, which got me ready nicely for more advanced work. I then got stuck into Davina's DVD with a set of 2kg weights and doing the Sculpt routine every other day, I noticed a significant difference over a period of a few weeks. I then upped the weights to 3kg and am now, seven months later, up to 4kg, which seems about right for my height and size (5'4", 53kg, small frame). I've 'graduated' up to Nell McAndrew's Ultimate Challenge - Ultimate Results [DVD] [2004 ] but still come back to what I've come to call 'Davina Gold' at least three times a week because the Sculpting section is simply so good. I tend to go for the Super Legs (Sculpt plus an extra legs section) and then add on the Super Six Pack at the end before cooling down. Love Davina's bubbly personality - love the energy she exudes, her great sense of humour and simply how down to earth she, Mark and Jackie are. The team gels superbly and this together with Davina's other DVDs makes them all seem like great family friends! I was wary of some of the reviews saying that the commentary can get a bit annoying but I actually rather like it - I know every word, sigh and movement now but that's fine. I bought this DVD to get results and that's exactly what I got. Things that could have been better really are few and far between - I'd liked to have seen a select and mix ability as it would be great to be able to pick whatever sections we want and in whatever order we want. This function would extend the life of this DVD further still. Also, as some have said, this DVD is heavy on the knees during the Super Sculpt if you don't execute the squats correctly. It really is important to not put your knees over your toes. I found myself suffering after a few weeks but was determined to keep going and once I corrected my technique I didn't have any further problems. In terms of body shape, this DVD has made me look how I am today - slim, very toned and with great abs - and abs that I never thought I'd have after two children. I also had a back injury from having my second child and suffered with back pain for years after. Since doing this DVD and getting my core area so much stronger, I haven't had so much as a twinge since. With the help of this DVD I'm comfortably maintaining a size 8 and feel absolutely fantastic. Would love to see an even more advanced Davina DVD - I'm quite sure there's a stack of fellow hard core Davina fans out there who have done this Super Body workout extensively and are itching for something even more challenging - but yet still Davina! The bottom line is that no DVD is ever going to please all the people all the time but this DVD is pretty close to perfect - Davina, Mark and Jackie absolutely nailed it with the Super Body workout - a *massive* thank you to the team who have put together a very well thought out and well put together set of routines that can be done by anyone from beginner level right up to advanced - and this DVD will take you on that journey if you're reading this as a beginner. For those of you who are already more advanced, add a few extra kilos on the arms if you're finding the Sculpting section too easy! This DVD *WILL* give you results - no question about it. Review: Davina's Superbody Workout - I am not one for buying fitness DVDs (since I am a regular at the gym) but I bought this for the days I am not able to get to the gym due to having young children. It is great as you have the choice of 2 main workouts (super fit - that focuses on fatburn & super sculpt - which is a toning workout). These are both really good workouts that I enjoy doing. You can also chop & change your routine so you are not doing the same workout routine over & over which can be boring and make you not want to do the DVD. There are 4 additional workouts that add a further 10 minutes to the 2 main workouts focusing on different areas of the body that you want to work on (superpump - is the sculpt workout with extra upper body exercises, superabs - is the fit workout with abdominal exercises, superlegs - is the sculpt workout with leg & bum exercises; and finally super six pack which is a serperate little 10 minutes workout to get a woman's six pack). The DVD menu makes it very easy to go to the workout you want to do (so no sitting there having to fast forward to the actual workout past the introduction, which I have experienced on the 1 other fitness DVD I have). Davina is cheery which makes it enjoyable to workout to as it is like being in a aerobic class. This is well worth the money, 5 stars! Davina - Super Body Workout [2008 ]

A fantastic workout - Good for the experienced and the unfit
I really love this workout.By reading comments on Amazon, I decided to buy this DVD and am glad that I did. Its an excellent all body workout especially when you do the add on sections. Ive been using it a couple of weeks now, and actually look forward to doing the workout. My sister gave me Power of 3 dvd a month ago, as she didnt like it, but I loved it. Both DVD's are fun and I like the music and the banter between Davina and her trainers always brings a smile to my face. I would definitely recommend anyone to buy this DVD as there are advanced and beginners exercises shown. All the exercises are clearly explained and a good warm up and cool down. The extra's section for a six pack is good although I havent quite mastered that yet, as Davina tells you to do it only when you have strong abs and i havent at the moment!! I have bought other exercise DVD's including the new Mel B one, but compared to this one, I would say this exercise DVD is executed in a more professional manner, with alternatives for the not so fit. The music is good and with the intervals in between the toning sections, its fun to do which I what I look for in exercise, challenging but fun and enjoyable. The time seems to pass quickly and you feel like you have worked out at the end of it. The only down side is, that in time, when you have got used to doing it, you may need something alittle more challenging and thats why I have given it 4 stars as opposed to 5. Overall, an excellent workout and definitely definitely worth buying.

Can't wait to get my own super body!
I've got all of Davina's DVDs (except for the pregnancy one), and I've never been disappointed with any of them. And I wasn't disappointed with this one. The routines are well constructed, and suitable for people of all levels of fitness (great news for me, because I'm not that fit... yet.) The instructors are encouraging, but not patronising, and Davina is her usual charming and entertaining self. I just love the fact that she really is a normal person who has clearly worked long and hard to get that fantasic figure, and she has done it with the help of two people who really know what they are doing. This is not just a celebrity who makes one DVD, makes a few quid, and then ditches the whole idea. You get great value for money with this video, as there are many combinations to choose from. Many of the exercises are the same as in the other DVDs, which makes it easy to pick up the routines. That said, you won't think they've just rehashed the previous stuff - there are plenty of new exercises as well. It's really not a chore to do Davina's workouts - I don't find it difficult to do something 3, 4 or even 6 times a week. You will sweat, and you will feel the burn, but you will feel a great sense of achievement by the end, even if you do only a 40-minute workout. It doesn't sound a lot, but it will feel it! Davina, Jackie and Mark are nearly on my Christmas card list - if I ever look half as fit as them, I will be made up!

Very good but could be even better
I bought this DVD after being disappointed with the Kelly Brook 'Strictly Come Dancing' one, as people highly recommend it on this site. I am relatively fit with daily walking and 2 gym sessions a week (mainly for weights). I also used to be a fitness instructor so I have an understanding of teaching exercise safely to beginners. Having done - so far - only the Super Pump workout (the one with the extra abs session stuck at the end), I'll say first of all that my overall impression is a good one. The instructor is great, non-intimidating and reassuring. She also does some of the movements in a lower impact form and tells the viewer to copy Davina if they want the option with the jumps etc. Davina is....well herself really. I found it a bit annoying in the warm up when she was pretending to find it really hard, when it clearly wasn't (it was easy even for me!). But I think generally the 'annoying' moments are few and can easily be ignored. Her introduction to the DVD was actually very motivating and full of common sense. My main criticism is that some of the routines were not explained very well. The instructor went straight into them without first breaking them down for the viewer. I found myself totally lost a few times. I am sure that with a couple more viewings anyone will be able to pick up the routines, as it's not a heavily coreographed video (which is good if you're like me and you want to burn calories rather than spend hours learning a step). My second issue is that some of the kickboxing type of move could have done with a small tutorial at the beginning, because kicking around in bad form could injure you. I did kickboxing-type aerobics classes before so I knew a bit of technique but I still struggled a bit with the moves. I have Billy Banks' Tae Bo DVDs and he always, *always* gives you a tutorial first. Finally, and this is a regular problem with fitness dvds, the camera work! Why can't they STOP zooming to the upper bodies of the presenters during a complex aerobic routine? Can they not understand that the viewer NEEDS to see their feet to be able to follow? That was the single most annoying thing in what is otherwise a very good effective workout. I initially did the Super Pump section without the abs but it kind of finished too soon - it does feel a bit short! - so I went back to the one with the added abs section and fast forwarded to the abs bit. The abs workout that follows is very good and very safely taught. Despite my criticism, I'd definitely recommend this DVD and I'm looking forward to trying out the other sections once I have mastered the Super Pump one. UPDATE: I have now done the other part of the workout, the 'toning' one, with the extra legs session at the end, and I found it a lot harder than the cardio workout. I train legs regularly in the gym but still, I was sore for 3 days! So far I've used the DVD 4 or 5 times and I can already see changes in my body shape. To those saying that it's not challenging, my comment is that the instructor does give you the option to make it harder or easier throughout. Yes the moves in the cardio workout are slightly repetitive, but this is IDEAL for people who want to get fit rather than spend the first 5 sessions just learning the moves. And it really is great if you don't have much space around you, which might be the reason why they keep the moves quite simple and confined to a small area. I will also add that the steps that do require co-ordination can be mastered in a couple of sessions (as I have, and I'm really hopeless like that) so again, this is really good to get fit straightaway with no frills.
