As someone trying to break into the tech industry, I found the content clear, practical, and incredibly reassuring. The author breaks down IT career paths like support, QA, data, and cloud in a way that actually makes sense. I especially liked the skill path sections – they gave me a real roadmap of what to learn and where to start. The section on AI tools like ChatGPT was a bonus – it helped me see how I can use these tools to learn faster. If you're confused about where to start in IT, or tired of random advice online, this book will bring you clarity. Review: Practical guide for tech beginners. - I have read a lot of career books, but this one stands out for how clearly it explains the world of IT. It doesn’t just tell you to “learn to code” - it shows you all the non-coding roles too, which I didn’t even know existed. The chapters on skill paths were especially helpful. I figured out that I am more suited to data analytics than development, and the book gave me specific tools and certifications to explore. It’s a focused and friendly guide that doesn’t overwhelm you. Highly recommend for anyone trying to make sense of tech career options.

It's a must read book for anyone who aspires to get into IT as a career. It's been written in such a lucid language that anyone would find it very easy to understand. Even the complicated concepts are explained in very presice and clear manner. It covers the entire life cycle of an IT project. It talks about not only the important skills required in today's IT environment, but also it has discussed about the futuristic skills which are going to be of utmost importance for any IT professional. I would even recommend this book, apart from the IT aspirants, to the existing IT professionals.

I've been teaching myself tech skills for a while, but I wasn't sure if I was on the right track. This guide helped me connect the dots and gave me a clear direction. It's like having a mentor walk you through each step I liked the section on certifications which clearly laid out which certifications are useful and when they should be attained. Definitely a must-read if you're starting or switching to a career in IT.
