This is a great compressor! It is compact and has a durable carrying case to keep all components organized. The compressor works great on my Class C motorhome wheels. Comes with lots two hoses that reach from the front of the right all the way to the back. Abd the battery cables are of nice length too. Easy to use, low noise level, and love the auto shut off feature. I do recommend this to any RV owner.

We got a new motorhome in August, and this unit had come up repeatedly in several RVing Facebook groups, highly recommended by many users. My wife didn't think we needed to spend the $$, until our first trip for a long weekend, when we went to 7 different gas stations and couldn't find a working air hose. (And paid $1.50-$2 at a couple only to find out the air didn't work). Used it to keep all 6 tires at optimum pressure and blow crud out of exterior storage after two weeks of desert camping. The extension with the dual chuck makes it simple to air up both the inner and outer rear dualies without any valve extensions. Love having the extra hose. Our rig is only 25' but you never know. My only complaint would be no AC adapter. Our rig has outdoor, inverted plugs, and it would be easier than popping the hood and running the chassis engine every time I want to use it. Unit is well made, good accessories and a nice carrying case. The 12v leads could be 3' longer, but I guess that's why the extra hose. Overall, must have for anyone spending time on the road in a rig that needs more than 40lbs in the tires.

No problems yet. Viair fills tires or my SUP just fine. It does need some time to cool before putting it back in the storage bag. >>> 31 July 2017 Update: My Viair stopped working yesterday. I was inflating my SUP board and the pump stopped inflation and it wasn't a blown fuse. It hums but quieter no air pressure at all. More to follow as I look for a remedy. >>>Update 27 August: Chat with Viair "SUP Inflation is not covered under the warranty." That is amazing since the product description now states: "400P-RV is our fastest filling RV compressor, but can only run continuously at 100psi for about 20 mins before needing to cool down." Inflation of a Stand up Paddle Board involves running at free flow for ~12 minutes then work all the way up to 13psi within 20 minutes. Viair said this type of use exceeds the capacity of the 400P-RV. I paid shipping to send the pump to Viair a few weeks ago. I emailed them to ask if my package was received and they said it was and it was in the apparently long line to be taken apart to investigate the cause of the failure and to determine if it would be considered to be covered under warranty. So they are supposed to send it back after I pay for parts and return shipping. Meanwhile I have no air capability. I was hoping this would not be just hype but I have been suckered yet again. Also they do not send parts for self repair. I would not make this purchase this again. : (

I realize this set is expensive for portable compressors, but the great reviews at various RV sites convinced me to give one a try. I'm glad I did. The quality of the compressor seems great. Compared to others I have owned, it is very quiet. It's mounted with rubber feet to the base, so vibration is controlled. My use will primarily be RV travel, from bicycle and RV tires to winterizing the system. The components in the kit are also really impressive. A very high quality air gun with gauge, and useful inflation tips. The bag itself is pretty clever, with perfect pockets for the two coiled hoses. On minor tweak I did (which I am sure voided the warranty) is cut the power cable and add SAE connectors. This way I can power from other sources in the RV. I put the alligator clips on another SAE socket in case I want to hook them up.

This item isn't for the budget conscious, but the convenience and ease of use when filling dually wheels is amazing! I did a ton of research before purchasing this and the extra long chuck is a life saver. You will never go back once you experience trigger pull air filling and ability to bleed off excess air with thumb button. With a total of 50 feet of cord, I can reach around my entire RV while connected to the battery. This is a very powerful unit and I was surprised at how quiet it runs with shock absorbent feet on the wide base. No walking across the driveway like cheap $20 units. I consider it a worthwhile investment and for the size and ease of use, I honestly do not know of any better tire pump out there that takes up so little room. The travel pack is set up nice and its sturdy enough to last. Buy this quality product, and shouldn't have to replace this in the foreseeable future.

Used it to inflate my 265/65/r17 tires after driving through the desert. Was able to get up from 15psi to 35psi in under 10mins for all 4 tires. Connecting the air hoses and even to the battery was quite simple with no sparks or any shenanigans. Straight forward usage, not as loud as I thought it'd be, on the far end of the vehicle, it was barely audible. I'd recommend it. Easy to store in the bag too. Very convenient

I have a triple axle 5th wheel that calls for high tire inflation rates. I had bought a cheaper inflator from one of the big box stores but it self destructed after the third use. The Viair line comes highly recommended and I can attest that it's a great unit. While it is admittedly rather expensive, it does it's job beautifully and is quieter than I expected. I am extremely pleased with my purchase.
