The pattern is very simple to use, easy to follow for an advanced beginner. It has many options for the costume allowing you the versatility to make it into anything you want. It does require quite a bit of fabric, notions and embellishments. But when you consider purchasing premade costumes of the same style, they can cost up to $400. Take your time, READ the directions, follow the pattern and you will have priceless costumes and ball gowns. I have already made 3 different gowns in 3 different styles from the same pattern.

Arrived just in time, very pretty pattern. The only thing is that the sizes come small. I'm normally a size 16 and I had to use the size 20 for the dress to fit my measures, but apart from that it was good, the instructions are clear and it comes with suggested fabrics and tips while doing the dress, pretty nice.

Easy to follow

I made this pattern for a masquerade ball. It is shockingly easy to construct given the complex look of the garment. A hoop skirt undergarment is a must to achieve the look on the pattern front (available on Amazon: New 3 Bone Hoop Skirt Bridal Taffeta Bridal Petticoat Wedding Gown Slip (CH130DS) ).

Perfect condition, never used. Making a wedding dress, so I needed the pattern.

A lot of work not fir the inexperienced

Das war mein allererstes richtiges Nähprojekt. Ich wollte mir ein etwas prunkvolleres Kleid für den Mittelaltermarkt machen und das konnte ich mit dem Schnittmuster gut umsetzen. Gleich vorweg: Das Muster ist auf Englisch, eine deutsche Version liegt nicht bei. Da ich aber sowieso blutiger Anfänger war hätten mir die deutschen Fachbegriffe wahrscheinlich genauso wenig weitergeholfen, deswegen hat mich das nicht gestört. Das Muster ist ausserdem bebildert, sodass man auch gut sieht, was in den einzelnen Schritten zu tun ist. Daher gab es diesbezüglich auch keine Probleme. Stoffvorschläge werden auch gemacht, sodass ich recht gut gerüstet in den örtlichen Nähladen marschieren konnte. Ich fand das Kleid sehr angenehm zu machen, die Schnittmusterteile passen perfekt und der Rock ist wunderbar (ich empfehle einen Reifrock darunter, dann kommt seine Fülle etwas besser zur Geltung.) Ich habe nur Oberteil und Rock genäht. Die Schleppe (abnehmbar) habe ich nicht gemacht. Das Kleid sieht nämlich auch ohne sehr schön aus und ist so einfach zweckmäßiger. Der Rock ist auch mit einer kleinen Schnürung versehen. Ich denke also, da kann man theoretisch ordentlich zulegen bis der nicht mehr passt. Am Mieder hat mir sehr gut gefallen, dass die Ösen an zwei separat angenähten Teilen befestigt werden. So konnte ich sie ganz einfach versetzen, als ich beschlossen hatte, das ganze doch etwas enger zu machen. Da bin ich also positiv, dass das Kleid auch ganz einfach angepasst werden kann, sollten irgendwelche Körperpartien fülliger werden. Alles in allem also ein durchaus anfängertaugliches Schnittmuster, bei dem man aber gleich schon mal mit Bügelflies und Futterstoff in Berührung kommt. Durch die ausführliche und gutbebilderte Anleitung kriegt man hier auch als kompletter Nähneuling auf Anhieb ein tragbares Ergebnis hin und . Das einzige was mir zu hoch war, war die Faltung und Befestigung des Verschlussknopfes am Rock😅 Aber da war dann Improvisation gefragt, dann ist das alles kein Hexenwerk.
