ALLDIO Book Lights for Reading in Bed Dimmable Touch Switch Reading Lamps Bedside Wall Mounted LED Gooseneck Headboard Spotlight (3W, Warm White)

The first time I tried to dim the light, it seemed to not be working. But subsequent dimming and brightening works fast. This is a nice little light. The dimmable version of this light is easier to mount. The single brightness version has more electronics and connections in the base. The dimmable version must have the dimming electronics in the larger plug at the wall. We now have four of the non dimming and one of the dimming in our household and like them all. They have a focused beam that is great for reading in bed.

Good so far. I like that it's sleek and that it's dimmable. It doesn't sit very tight against the wall for some reason after install. Three bracket itself is in tight but the tiny screws that hold the light to the bracket aren't good enough to hold it tight. It's not going to fall off but it taps the wall when adjusting the light angle. It's a minor flaw that doesn't affect it when turning it on and off but still not ideal. I would suggest having tools to use the drywall anchors or at least a bigger screw and a hammer to yank out the extra drywall. Otherwise, it isn't going to sit tight with just screws.

I like this lamp a lot. I purchased it to go by my bed so I can read at night without disturbing my husband. It has dimming capabilities but it's not clear how the dimming works. I did figure it out eventually but it's a bad design so it's not easy to get to the exact brightness I want it to be. Otherwise, it's easy to install and when it does cooperate for me the brightness levels are great.

I was surprised how nice this was - I had had bought it as a simple picture lamp in an innovative stet up - but the way it's built including the touch switch makes it look like it cost a lot more than it did. My only problem is that I power it off and on with a switch and each time I turn it on with that switch I also have to turn this lamp on. I can easily solve this by bypassing the switch on the lamp - but it seems a shame as it is so nice. I'm going to consider getting two more for their actual application - nice bedside reading lamps.

Very good light.

I bought this reading lamp as a replacement for my old reading lamp since it did not fit my new headboard. Easy installation, looks great and easy to use. Just touch to the center of the base to turn on/off and press and hold to dim. The only complaint I could have would be that the dimmer is a bit fickle in that you might have to touch and hold more than once. Other than that, great deal!

I put one of these on everyone’s bed frame in my house. It’s a great light for reading and it’s dimmable so can be adjusted so it’s never too bright. Easy to install.

The all-metal construction of this lamp is nice, though the finish quality is just OK. The LED color temperature is typical "warm LED", which is to say it has a slight greenish tint like all warm LEDs. The greenish light is less noticeable as it dims. As others have noted, the operation is a little odd; tapping the button turns the light on or off, while pressing and holding the button dims or brightens the light. It's the dimming that's hard to control - it dims in a series of small steps, so you really can't time it exact each time to end up at, for example, the dimmest setting, or any particular setting (except the brightest setting). The mounting bracket worked great for me, and it was super easy to install. One other unusual that ng is that the prongs on the plug are just a few millimeters shorter than typical. The first time I plugged it in, it didn't work because it apparently wasn't plugged in all the way. This happened later when I moved it to another outlet. I hope it does gradually come "unplugged" due to the short prongs. This connection issue may also be due to the fact that the prongs don't have those little round holes in them, which I think serve to hold the plug in. With the dimmer, the brightness isn't an issue - it definitely dims a lot, and it's plenty bright for reading.
