amika the shield anti-humidity spray | lightweight, invisible heat protection spray, contains UV filters, for smooth, frizz free hair

I was in a crunch for time and just wanted to but the cheapest heat protectant spray that arrived fast. Very satisfied with this purchase. It protected my hair well even when I put the curling wand on higher heat settings. No greasy feel or residue. Obviously there’s a fragrance but it smells nice to me.

Love the amika line. Decided to give this a try. Smells great. Helps keep frizz down and protect from heat. No residue or feeling crunchy or greasy.

The best product I’ve ever used for humidity. I moved from Arizona to a very humid state and had struggled to find something that wouldn’t make my hair roots feel/look greasy or leave my ends dried out. My new hair stylist suggested I try this and I am thrilled that I did. Lightly sprayed on after blow drying and before flat ironing, my hair was shiny, soft and a lot less frizzy. But the real test was the next day after it had been overcast and raining on and off throughout the day and it was awesome! It lasted overnight and even the next day. I did purchase the smaller size since I travel a lot. It fits perfect in a small makeup bag in my luggage. I’ll be purchasing a larger size to keep her home.

smells amazing! it does help with the frizz for sure but not as much as i expected. it doesn’t leave any white residue or make my hair feel weird.

Highly recommend if you have frizzy hair in the heat and humidity. Worked great and will be purchasing again! Love the smell and non-greasy feel.

The sprayer on this product sucks. It wants to come out like a foam and then it sprays but not like a normal spray it just piles up in one spot on the hair. I’d return if I wasn’t so eager to see how it worked on my hair. But I’m not even impressed with that. My hair isn’t much different. It swelled up just as it normally does when I’m trying to flat iron it.

I love this spray. My hair has some waves and curls and this is my go to spray for frizz control, which is hard to handle sometimes in Florida humidity. Easy to apply, the consistency makes it easy to get good coverage on hair without using a lot of product. Using this product helps my hair stay smooth and styled all day long!

The scent of this spray is definitely a highlight. It has that signature amika fragrance that smells fresh and salon-quality without being too overpowering. The size of the bottle is decent, and a little goes a long way, so it should last a while. As far as performance, it gave some light frizz control, but nothing dramatic. My hair still reacted to humidity, especially on really muggy days. It did help a bit with maintaining moisture and didn’t dry my hair out, which I appreciated. The texture of the product is lightweight and not sticky, so it layers well with other styling products. The spray itself is fine and even, and the product quality overall feels nice. However, it didn’t give my hair the level of smoothness or hold I was hoping for. For the price, I expected more. It’s not a bad product, just not as effective as I needed for serious humidity control. Might work better for someone with finer or less frizz-prone hair.
