Really powerful, well built cable tensioner but could not get them to trim the tie ends. Maybe my ties were too thick but struggled to get them to cut. Not sure if mine were defective or my expectations were too high.

We tend to use plastic zip ties for a lot of things so I thought this gun would come in handy. We have some thicker, removable zip ties which this gun wouldn't cut (which is actually a good thing, it still tightened them), but with standard zip ties it cut and tightened them brilliantly.Pros:- Tightens zip ties easily - you just loop the zip tie through, tighten it manually and then pop the tail of the zip tie in the little gap inside the tip of the gun - you'll be able to feel which side is the correct side as it will tighten the zip tie when you depress the mechanism. You then pull the trigger repeatedly until it's tight enough that it stops, and then when you squeeze the trigger finally it will give a nice smooth cut- Solid metal gun that feels like it will last a long time and isn't made of cheap materials- You can adjust the length of the inside mechanism to accommodate different lengths of zip ties by turning the little gear on the bottom of the handle- Works on varying thicknesses of zip ties including thin, small ones- Doesn't tighten removable zip ties enough to cut the end so you can still use it for these typesCons:- Cutting the tails requires me to use two hands as my hands are quite weakAll in all this is actually a super handy little tool. It's really good value too. I think the benefit comes in the fact you just can't get the ties tight enough with just your hands and you want them to be as taut as possible, and the cut it gives is smooth and flush. Highly recommended but only for plastic zip ties!

Sold as being able to set and cut metal cable ties as well as plastic but struggles to grip the metal tie. Perfect for plastic with talk settings for different types of cable and application.However annoyed it does not set metal ties as stated in description

This Cable Tie Gun is life changing. It makes tying plastic ties so much easier, quicker and neater. Works every time too. No more fiddling around trying to loop bits together. You just load the tie pull the lever until everything's in place and at the desired tightness. Job done.Its well made from die cast steel and feels nice and robust. I can see it will last a lifetime. All at a great price too.

Doesn’t like smaller cable ties, but that’s more because the nylon stretches at higher tension in smaller cable ties. Works a dream for all other sizes though.
