LIVE PHYTOPLANKTON CULTURING KIT Perfect for anyone starting their own phytoplankton culture in their home. Included in each Kit: * One half gallon (64 oz.) glass jar, and 3" plastic screw-on lid predrilled with two aeration holes: one for the rigid air tube to bring air into the culture, and one for to allow air to escape. Jar mouth is large enough to allow for easy cleaning. * LIVE Nannochloropsis Oculata (Nanno) or Tetraselmis (Tetra) cells in 16oz bottle(s). This phytoplankton has been cultured using Hydro Algal Fertilizer. The Nanno can be cultured for fresh/brackish/salt water. The Tetra can only be cultured in saltwater. * One 4 oz. bottle of Salt Mix to achieve the desired salinity. * One 4 oz. bottle of Hydro Algal Fertilizer as the culture ent growth medium. This fertilizer adheres to the Guillard f/2 formula, the gold-standard in the aquaria hobby for over 40 years. Contains s B12, Thiamin, and Biotin to ensure a proper balance for maximum . Other ingredients include: Cupric Sule, Zinc Sule, Cobalt Chloride, Sodium Ferric Ethylendiaminetetraacetate (EDTA), Manganese Chloride, Sodium Nitrate, and Sodium Phosphate. Contains no Silica. * One 1ml syringe with dispensing cap to administer fertilizer, feed tank occupants, etc. * One 3/16" x 10" rigid air tube. * Approximately 36" of flexible air tubing - 3/16" ID, 1/4" OD. Tubing is perfect for use with included rigid air tubes, and most (if not all) aquarium air pumps. * Includes common sense, written instructions on starting your own culture, and includes contact information if you should have any questions/comments/advice. Upon successful completion of your first culture, your new phytoplankton can be used to inoculate indefinite subsequent/larger cultures!
