200 Live Daphnia by Aqua L'amour

My first order was either lost in the mail, or burst during its travels, who knows? I contacted the seller once I noticed my account said the package was “undeliverable”. The seller was extremely nice and very prompt with the reply to my message and with sending me a tracking number. The second package arrived in 2 days and ALL of the daphnia were alive! All of them! Not one died in transit. Plus, it looked like more than 200. I’m thrilled!They’re set up in their new home - I’ve had them about a week now - and extremely active, and prolific! My fish are officially spoiled. The daphnia are in a 1.5 gallon, low, wide jar. I filled it 2/3 of the way with water from my fish tank, and the other 1/3 was the water from the bag they came in. I put a small heater in the jar to keep it at 68 Fahrenheit, and a small bubble stone to keep the water from stagnating. So far, I’ve only fed them spirulina powder, and plan to feed them some yeast tomorrow.It’s been a lot of fun, watching my fish hunt the little “bugs”!

When I opened the box I thought the bag had a lot of detritus in it.I figured it's not a big problem. But upon getting them into the tank I was able to see it was all floating dead Daphnia. It looks like most the adults died. I was able to see about a dozen adults making swimming movements. There are some nearly microscopic babies.I estimate 80% are dead. But I'm being generous there only because the tiny babies are difficult to see so hard to count. It could be more like 90% dead. But suffice it to say most are dead.I should've paid closer attention to the critical reviews. But the majority of the reviews were so positive I felt confident this would be a good new source for Daphnia.

Decided to order him from these guys Took a little while to ship And upon arrival the box was damaged and they were all deceased. I believe it was the delivery people who damaged the product Although it could just be I ordered them from a far away location which is understandable for them to be deceased in that distance.On the Bright side After speaking with the owner through Amazon an easy process I assure you. They replied quickly and gave me the option of a full refund or a new delivery. I decided to go for the new delivery Where they generously sent me double the amount. Quite a few words deceased when they got to me obviously but I managed to get enough to start a healthy fishtank tank. Overall a good experience and worth the weight. I would give the product an 8/10. Worth the buy especially if it's quick delivery.

I have tadpoles and I wanted to feed them alive of food. I heard they like tiny minnows. They are smaller than a grain of rice. When I took them out of the bag to put into another container, there was much more water in the back then my container would hold so I did lose some. I did keep them in Hey, a small aquarium for a while, but I couldn’t use a filter because it would’ve sucked them up. The tadpoles liked them, but they were way too many in the order. I think I got 200. 20 might’ve been better.

I floated the bag for a couple hours, to acclimate the ones still alive, and warm up the ones not moving in hopes they'd recover. A few did, but most were fully dead. My catfish didn't care- they were freshly dead and not rotten yet, my 2 glass catfish and a few shrimp and assassin snails made short work of them. Both living and dead ones were devoured before any bodies could go bad. I need to raise more in another tank, because my little hunters won't leave enough for them to reproduce otherwise. They love them enough that I will 100% get more, but I'd have to pay for overnight shipping or something, which wasn't available at the time of purchase. They are worth getting, but make sure you get them fast.

I ordered my shipment during a big heat wave and unfortunately the daphnia was all DOA. I contacted the seller and sent a few pics and was sent not only the bag I ordered but an extra bag in case some didn’t make it. I was able to culture the daphnia and I’m now happily feeding my tanks some more live food while acting also as a good clean up crew. Very satisfied with this seller.

I was a bit wary of ordering due to a few bad reviews and to be honest when I decided to roll the dice the shipping time made me think no way they're gonna survive... purchased Jun 3, 2022 - estimated delivery Jun 8th -13th. But I suppose the 13th was an absolute worst case scenario because they got here today on the 8th. Not only that but I ordered 200 and there were closer to 3 times that amount. I will update but so far they are all swimming and have a good time, hopefully making me many many more :)Update Day 3 : All still alive and energetic. Feeding good, breeding and seem to be really prospering.Update Week 2 : I've got mass amounts. Can't give an exact amount as there are way to many babies but they are defiantly multiplying. I have no idea what the 1 stars did wrong in their setups but I am firmly convinced it was not the sellers issue. Very satisfied.
