It installs with 10, #8 x 3 inch screws. The door edge guards in this kit are designed to fit on 1-3/4 inch thick doors, and the latch plate comes with optional deadbolt knock out plugs to accommodate two different knob-to-lock hole center spacings. For doors hung with a large enough gap between the jamb and edge of the door, these plates can be ed on the surface of the door jamb.
